I guess I shouldn't complain about my $30 K I owe now.

I've been in forbearance (I don't advise doing it...it's killing me with interest rates) for a year now and will have to start paying the damn thing back soon.

Yet, I am thinking about going to Grad school...tell me, do you think it's worth the money

Yeah I am in the process of filing for aid of some sort... it's looking like I'm going to have to take out a loan. It sucks but I feel like it's gonna be worth it in the end.

Going to medical school. WVSOM--tuition for out of state is around 50grand/year. But I take out the max loans, as although living expenses in WV is cheap, not in Lewisburg. This town thinks it's the shit and charges as such. So all in all, it's around 76/year + 20 from undergrad.

Ouch! That's brutal. I've got lucky with scholarships, and I'm working my a$$ off to stay out of debt...living the Canadian dream driving a Zamboni! If I had to take out a loan, I'd probably drop out.

I truly feel for you guys.
It is tough to have to pay all that back.
The education is well worth it however.

Wish my kids would see this thread so they can better appreciate what I did for them.
In Florida, we have the Prepaid College Program.
I bought their education 12 yrs ago at the prices back then.
They went to school with no loans now to pay.

my wife has some student loans from AES, and one loan from CITI financial.. I have been trying like heck to consolodate the CITI loan to the AES loans, since the rate is cheaper..

It seems that its impossible, but maybe someone here could advise me as to what to do.

My parents made me go to a community college and I got my associates degree there since they paid for it. And they said I would be responsible for the university tuition/expenses. Well, I got a few scholarships, worked like mad and didn't have much of a social life to get through school without loans. I think it's worth it.
