No one, if you want to have a genuine and thoughtful "back and forth" about this, would have a problem with a dog sticker on your car. We are talking about the obscene, not Rover.

There is a standard for decency that we all truly know if we choose to be honest. Balls hanging off of anything, other than hidden by your boxers or a bedroom door is inappropriate.

Though someone may not personally like a Rainbow sticker, it is not obscene nor offensive visually. Though you may have Cynophobia, a sticker declaring the love of a canine is not vulgar.

We are talking about a nut sack wagging back and forth down the road in front of your family, your mom, your wife and your little girls. That is offensive.

The problem is few want to be honest about these things and lump the whole discussion into a homogeneous claim of government oppression.

A Dodge 2500 SLT CTD LWB 4x4 on 35's (Got Banks?)

Both trucks have nuts on 'em.

The problem is that it is offensive to some people. It does not offend me but I can see where it may be offensive to some. If I had a kid I would be very offended if he/she had to see these things. like has been said before "it is just common courtesy and decency" I mean you don't sit in a restaurant or waiting room and rip farts off do you? My opinion is if you wanna huge sack hanging around then hang them on the mirror on your dresser.

BTW tobii3 this was not directed solely at your post but to any that can't see where this may be offensive.

It is fake BULL NUTS for pete sakes! How is that offensive. Ever see a bull in the pasture walking north bound from you? His nuts are huge and I gaurantee you can see them. Some times it will even have a hard-on and you will see its pecker!

I agree that they are stupid and offensive but everything is offensive to someone else. Should I take the Knights of Columbus sticker off my back window because many are offended by what it represents? How about my Polish Legion of American Veterans or my American Legion stickers because what they represent offends many? I am more offended that a nanny state would even consider wasting time on legislation such as this. Lets add a rider to this bill and outlaw the 'Husband in trunk' or 'Wife in trunk' bumper stickers. We need to strike a balance folks and new laws are not the answer. Common sense and being civil to others is a better answer. End of rant.

That is the point I was trying to make. Notice I never said I agree with the law banning them. Maybe if we (the general public) spent as much time complaining about serious matters as we do trivial ones our local politicians may spend more time legislating worthwhile things. Just a thought. Most of the time when you see or read about a council meeting or some other public meeting all you hear people complain about is things like dress codes at school and such. Now I do agree there should be dress codes but I don't think it is up to public offices to spend 3-6 months deciding on them (instead it falls back on that common decency thing.) Same with these things hanging off of trucks. Hell I even saw a compact car with them.

Your talking about balls, not an organization's stickers ... come on, be honest, people know the difference and if they don't .. well maybe that's why we are becoming a nanny state.

But I do agree with you last statement though, the problem is, this country is in a major deficit of common sense and civility. So if I told you your truck sack was offensive to me an my family would you remove it? And can you understand why it's offensive where as a VFW sticker isn't?

People have no logic, reason or respect anymore. Everything goes because it's all got to be "fair".
