Stolen Otterbox

Yep, can you believe someone stole my otterbox from my truck . We never really lock our cars/trucks around here. This is such a rural area, everyone knows each other.

Well, I parked in the school parking lot and went to football practice with my son like we do every other day. When we returned to the truck I never noticed anything different, this was yesterday. My son and I went to play golf this evening and I was all ready to pull out a nice smoke from my otter box when I couldn't find it? I just thought maybe I'd taken it in the house Sunday after playing and didn't think much about it. Well after tearing the house apart, it's nowhere to be found. I remember putting it in the truck after playing golf Sunday with my clubs, so I know it was in there. That just leaves Monday during practice, I figure some kid thought it was a CD case and snagged it.

It doesn't bother me that I lost the Cigar Caddy, it can be replaced. But 4-5 of the smokes in there were gifted to me from brothers here on CS and meant a lot to me.

I guess I'm just really pissed because even in one of the most rural areas of the country crime is now an everyday issue!!!!

Sorry for the rant, just needed to vent a bit.

Re: Stolen Otterbox

YOU KNOW THAT REALLY SUCKS. What is this world coming to if you cant leave cigars laying around. I live in a pretty good size city (Phoenix Az.). And I have to lock up my house like fort knox. Just to mow the back yard due to my whole humi and a few other things getting stolen while I was doing it. And it wasn't even finished being seasoned I don't know anymore.

Sorry for your loss.

I have a special weakness for tootsie pops. LIke to have a few laying around the shack for when the urge hits. My nieces and nephews, daughters etc. always were cleaning me out.

One day, while they were just opening up my last few mentioned that I had started pre licking them. Have had a stable supply since.

Not sure if it will work... but try printing this as a sticker and...

No I don't need cigars. But thanks for the offer, that was nice. I'm just pissed that someone would have the balls to go into my truck during daylight??? I have never locked my house until now either, the more I think about it the more pissed I get!!!!!!!

That's funny. Like the joke: The son sat chatting with his mother while she was in the hospitial. While chatting he had eaten all her peanuts and told her how bad he felt about eating them all. She told him it was okay because she only liked sucking the chocolate off anyway.

Re: Stolen Otterbox

Thats a real bummer. First for loosing the box and then for the cigars and having to golf cigarless.

That is realy scummy of someone. I guess there are some real desperate scum out there.

Re: Stolen Otterbox

Man I feel your pain. Just after I got married someone busted out a window in my car and stole the one and only stereo I ever bought other than factory installed.

Since then, I am alarmed up, home and car, use The Club on every car I own, and have double deadbolt doors, motion detectors, etc, so no mfer can ever steal from me again without having to work for it!!!

I'm really sorry for the loss of your cigar case. It is a real shame when a few bad apples change the way we live our lives.

Re: Stolen Otterbox

I know a thing or two about being the victim of theft

I live in a nice neighborhood in Oakland, CA. My apartment building has a communal garage and in that past few years it has been broken into a number of times and a large amount of me and my dad's stuff has been ganked: A nice set of golf clubs, an empty 45 gallon acrylic fishtank (wtf?), fishing poles, a bike, a slew of powertools (miter saws, drills, sanders), and my dad's girlfriend's car... not to mention that these crooks attempted to steal my dad's car and broke the handle but couldn't get in so they decided to key it instead(???). Also on a few occaisons, people who have no association with anyone in the building have been found 'wandering the halls' in broad daylight and have had to be escorted out of the building. I could break these a$$holes necks!

Here's the kicker, for YEARS we have been trying to install some security in the building but all of the owners in the building have to vote on it and none of them want it because they are afraid it will lower the value of their units!

I'm really sorry to hear about your otterbox man, I know how it feels to be violated like that. We should find this kid and be the snot out of him .

With all that being said, anyone have a used set of golf clubs that would be suitable for someone who's 6'3"? Let me know.

I had a brand new (<7000 miles) blazer stolen once while I was on a job in Detroit. So I know what it's like being the victom.
The only people that were around my truck were young kids, so I figure they thought it was a CD case. I just hope they went ahead and smoked the cigars and got sick....
