Digital Camera repair?
Recently my Canon PowerShot A610 quit working. Did the normal stuff, recharged the batteries, replaced with brand new batteries, blah, blah and got a glimmer of power to come on, but then zip.

Are there digital camera repair places?


It was a $300 camera if I remember correctly....maybe $200....it's been a couple years..

Yes, but it might be better and cheaper in the long run to just get a new camera. Check your yellow pages. Good luck!

Depends on how much you like it, I suppose, repairing it for 150 bucks versus spending 175 on a new camera with better batteries and higher MP would be a wash for me, and you don't have to worry about something else crapping out on it when someone cracks yours open.

I have no idea what it would cost, but that is what I would expect.

Had a problem with my Sony DSC F505 a few years ago, checked online for local camera shops that repaired digital cameras. Saved over $100 and no problem with the repair.

Rather than screwing around to get my Fuji Finepix S700 repaired I bought a new one and put my Fuji on Fleabay. It served me well and its time to move on.

Here is my new one.

your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer. digital stuff is just too hard to fix without replacing parts.
