Hypothetical Combat Discussion Thread

Who are we? What is our purpose as human beings on this earth? These are complex and important philosophical questions for humans to ponder; however, might there be other less conventional, yet no less important questions facing people today.

Such as:
If a Pirate and a Ninja had a fight, who would win? What about a Werewolf and a Zombie? Or even...(given the situation)...a Pirate/Werewolf and a Zombie/Ninja?
These are issues that mankind has grappled with throughout the ages. They are the eternal questions that arouse our curiosity and stir our intellect. The purpose of this thread is to facilitate the cerebral exploration of such topics. Through its discourse, the Hypothetical Combat Discussion Thread will attempt to, once and for all, settle some of these issues.

So, if you have a hypothetical scenario involving a hostile encounter between two entities that you would like to discuss with the board, raise the question! Most ideas are allowed. Fight contenders can be anything from Mythical Creatures (e.g. ghosts, zombies, genies), to Cryptozoological beings (e.g. Bigfoot, Chupacabra, Lock Ness Monster), to super heroes, and even real-life characters (e.g. Grizzly Bear, Ninja, crazy redneck, Shaquille O’neal).

Members may introduce whatever character they like; however, if one chooses to bring a being into the discussion that is not commonly known already, it is his or her responsibility to define, up front, what the being is, and what type of abilities it has. Thus, any subsequent discussion of the character must respect its defined abilities and limitations. Most things are acceptable as far as powers are concerned; however, in order to ensure a reasonable discourse, it is necessary to have SOME rules regarding the various abilities an individual character can possess.

• No use of Nuclear Weapons or excessive use of conventional explosives.
• Refrain from granting unreasonable magical power to a character. A being that can do ANYTHING through limitless magic is, not only unfair, but also boring to talk about. (Superman is at about the highest acceptable level as far as powers are concerned for this discussion)

So keep it classy.
Hopefully we can come to some consensus about some of these perplexing issues.

Santa would wipe the floor with Harry Potter. He's been around to long to be outdone by some whiney nerd.

Emperor Palpatine vs Bruce

We could talk about them both flying, Santa having the deer flank Potter, life experience, but sometimes to win a fight and to overcome another persons skill you have to have heart. Santa zig zags around the world once a year to bring happiness to all the children, when many of the parents are pathetic and don't give a damn, putting smiles on their faces. Santa has the biggest heart and would triumph in this one.
