how come you got some left over?

i remember my son and i did too and i could never figure out how. we followed all the instructions but somehow, we always ended up with extra lego's.

Actually these sets have come a long way. This particular set makes three
different houses. Some pieces are used on one house but not the other. So you can take the house apart and build something totally different. This set had over 750 pcs. The next house he wants has over 1200. I will try and post pics when we build the 2nd and 3rd ones.
