Sure they may waive the ticket but it cost time and money to do it.
Think about if you would like to be cost time and money just because you forgot to do something simple, i.e. an innocent oversight.

If it is a pizza delivery guy then bust'm, but the guy with the bad limp or the old lady that forgets to hang their tag, give them the benefit of the doubt.
What grinds me is when I see police cars parked in them. They can turn on their lights and park anywhere. Wal-mart, casinos, sporting events, shopping malls... I have seen it.

I rarely(never) see people using handicapped spots that do not have a tag or plates(except police). I find a lot of things that are more important to worry about in parking lots and are against the law also. Like the people that park so you cannot get in your car and damage it with their doors. That is physical damage of private property. Call about the people that back out and hit my car and do $1400 worth of damage and drive off. Call about the guy using a slim-jim to get into someones car. Call about the idiots that block you so you cannot leave for 4 hrs. Call about the people that hit your car and spit on your windows. Call about the rudeasses for attempted homicide that will almost run you down. Call about the people that have handicapped tags that park on the yellow striped area between two handicapped spaces because all the handicapped spaces are full. Call about the non-handicapped people that continue to use handicapped ramps when you need them to walk up. Call about non-handicapped people that verbally assault you when you can walk but use the handicapped stall in the restroom because you have to undo a back and leg brace and need the extra space and rails.

To really do something helpful move all of the shopping carts that people leave in handicapped spots. It is not the cart return area.

Well, I was accosted again this morning at the post office by some do-gooder-a-hole. I opened my door turned off the car and there he was saying "That's a handicapped spot." To which I answered "And I have a handicapped tag. BTW, who made you parking lot police?" (I put my tag on my mirror.) He just walks towards his car. I said "I'm talking to you A-hole!!! What, is your big mouth broken now wimp?" He flips me off and gets in his car. I walk behind his car so he cannot back out. He puts it in reverse and backs up a little. I said go ahead and hit me. He puts it in park and gets out and says "Move it!" He realised that he was a little 5'9" 65 yr old wuss and his mouth had wrong a check his a$$ couldn't cash. I told him to tell me he was sorry for running his mouth about something he knew nothing about and then I would move. He just stood there. I said "Say you're sorry or lets get busy kicking your a$$. Now, what's it going to be?" He says "I'm sorry." in a hateful tone. I said to him "Say your sorry nicely." He says in a more civil tone "I'm sorry." I said "Now, p-ssy get in your car and get your wimp a$$ out of here." He didn't realise that I had pepper spray in my jacket pocket with my hand on it and it he had touched me I would have given him a spray and then kicked his a$$. I get so tired of defending my disability. And to think all of this when there were 3 other handicapped spots open. Some out of state bozo mouthing off at my local post office.
