Re: Orlando restaurants?

I can't help you on the restaurants (but would like to know since it seems like I'm in Orlando at least once a year) but if you have time you should go to Corona Cigar (on Sand Lake Road I think). Great cigar shop and bar.

Re: Orlando restaurants?

I spent a year and a half in Orlando while I was in the navy. All I really remember is Church Street Station. I don't know of any cigar friendly joints though, sorry.

I also remember that South Orange Blossom Trail was off limits to us.

Don't know if it's cigar friendly, but I had a cigar in the Outside seating section at the Bahama Breeze on I dr. last year and was not crucified . Great food btw.

Re: Orlando restaurants?

Not sure about the smoking ban but. from what I understand is if you want to smoke up stick to bars. If they serve food then you're out of luck. You can smoke anywhere you want, other than a food service area. If the restaurant has a separate bar that is blocked off and food is not served I believe you can smoke in comfort. Personally I'd just stick to bars for smoking. My

Re: Orlando restaurants?

When are you planning on being in town? If Corona Cigar sounds good to you, maybe some of us 'central Florida' folks can meet up for a impromptu herf?

Corona Cigar's web site is: http://www.coronacigar.com/

Another nice place to stop by is Sosa Family Cigar, located in Downtown Disney. The Sosa Piramide #2 is a fine cigar (I think C.A. rated this cigar one of the best a few years ago), but they sell other top-notch cigars as well. Plus Downtown Disney is a nice place to walk around and there are plenty of restaurants to grab a bite. After dinner, walk over to Sosa's and have a smoke (or three)!

Re: Orlando restaurants?

I'll be there for a week starting tomorrow (split between there and Miami). I went to Corona's and I was impressed by the walk in humidor ( You walk in the hugh shop and it is a humidor) the last time I was there in June. A must stop. The prices were not bad and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. Anyone interested in a mon, tue night herf????

Thanks for the suggestion - would have loved to.
I just got back last night. Intended to go to Corona but ended up not even having time (I flew in at 11am on weds, left at 8pm last night)
I did have a couple of cigars out by the hotel pool though.

Hey Pete...

Sorry for the delay in writing back to you. Somehow I missed your response in this thread (well, I somehow missed the thread all together), but if it isn't too late... what nights are you going to be in Orlando? I might be able to sneak over for a few hours.

The weather has been nice around here lately. Next time you're in town and you have a spare afternoon / evening, let us know and we'll try to put a mini-herf together at Corona's or Sosa's or somewhere...

Also, while you are in the Miami area and if you have time, PM Ron1YY or ATLHARP. Those BOTL's are always looking for a reason to herf! If you get this message in time and are going to be in the Miami this Friday evening, November 18, a few of us are planning on getting together at a shop in West Palm Beach. PM me for more info.
