I can't speak for the Lakers since I did not watch the entire series but your Pistons got beaten fair and square. This is beneath you to imply a conspiracy to fix the games.

i don't aim to insult anyone, but i am a die hard celtics fan, and have ALWAYS been able to respect the lakers, for as long as i've been watching nba. there is no secret conspiracy here, simply the two best teams in the league playing to see who is really the best. this is how it should be. while i think it would have been an easier series had the lakers lost, i couldnt be more glad that it ended this way

Fixing an NBA game is everything but impossible nowadays. I'm sure the league is happy to see this outcome in terms of ratings, it would be too obvious to the fans if they actually fixed the games.

I've been watching the postseason, but because I'm a Knicks fan, my season ended loooooong ago.

I voted no since there is a fine line between a conspiracy and just being a pissed off fan. If you look hard enough you can find a conspiracy in damn near anything.

Now is there a conspiracy at work that keeps me out of the best deals on the WTS forums...DEFINATELY!!!!

Probably not. Although as a fan of the Pistons sometimes it felt like it, but Boston ended up being the better team.

Is the NBA as a business foaming at the mouth over this?
Abso-fricken-lutely. The NBA will probably make 10's of millions more by having Celtics v. Lakers. The media in those two cities alone will allow for so much more coverage.
To me, it is a joke because for a week we have to watch old Celtics/Lakers highlights of when basketball was a team game and not a one man show, it will turn ESPN into ESPN classic for the next 3 weeks.

Good for them NBA and old rivalry fans, but I have become a lot more disinterested in this finals matchup than most.

I agree whole heartedly. I personally don't believe that there's a conspiracy, but my buddies are die-hard-not-so-Bad-Boy-homers.
