Music Soothes the Savage Beast
My 5 month old daughter is overtired and fussy. My wife has tried to put her down for her nap several times, but as soon as she lays her down, the girl wakes up crying.
So I give it a go. With my middle daughter, music would calm her down; Stan Getz, Louis Armstrong, Spyro Gyra and the like were what put her out for the count. I try the playlist my youngest, but it doesn't work. I try a few other lists, but to no avail. Then, as a last resort, I try my playlist. It works like a charm. Her eyes start drooping before the first song is over. What was the first song? Dragula by Rob Zombie. The second song puts her out like a light, this was Roots Bloody Roots by Sepultura. I've got a headbanger baby!! ![]() Its about 45 minutes after I started my playlist, and she is dead to the world. I'm gonna make her a nap time CD with this playlist; its got Sepultura, Rammstein, Pantera, Rob Zombie, Slipnot, Static-X, System of a Down, and others. Anyone else's kids have nap time music?
