ahhhhh... misread it.

I refused to get an iphone until it went 3g and am glad I waited. Getting more for less $$ and looks like some of the kinks have been worked out. I'm really excited for July 11th

No Apple's Contract of letting AT&T be the exclusive carrier. Apple must be making a bundle there.

that's not so much a question of an app, rather whether or not AT&T lets you tether the phone to a laptop or not.

ATT doesn't like me to tether my Palm to my PC, but there is a third party app that lets me do it. Since Apple is letting third party app development, I thought that there might be someting out there by now.

I used to have that problem with my Palm as well, but used PDAnet like you. When I switched to a the Dash it came built in.

competition breeding innovation. check out the htc touch diamond and pro offerings, or the S-E XPERIA. I'm hedging my bet that by Christmas, Santa will have more in his bag than just iPhone 2.0. BTW-The fix for att exclusivity has been out there since the iphone was 2 weeks old. i would wager that a good 30% of owners aren't on att.
