I'm Goin' to Europe!

On the cheap too! I'm staying in cheapo hotels, and the entire 15-day trip cost me $2,000 for airfare, food and hotels...

I leave Tuesday - Denver to Frankfurt, nonstop (what is that, like 16 hours?), and that's just the layover. Then I go back down to Barcelona to experience what has to be about the worst jetlag ever. Plus there won't be any food at the airports (petrol strikes). Oh well, we'll just have to go "weakest link" with the other passengers I guess...or we'll just bring crackers and jerky and stuff.

5 days in Spain (Barcelona, Seville, Madrid, Gibraltar) and 1 day in Morocco. Then I take a night train from Madrid to Paris where I stay for 4 days. Then I spend 5 days in England (Canterbury, London and Oxford). Freakin' sweet.

But anyhoo, wish me luck, because I'll be hungry, tired and grumpy and I only get one chance to use the language I study (German ). Hopefully my cigar stash will still be intact after leaving it alone in the house with my father for two weeks...

congratulations m8 hope you have an awesome time! Barcelona's cool just watch out for pickpockets in "les rambles" seriously we watched an old woman follow an american tourist staring at his camera n bag all the while she followed him.In the end we caught up with him to tell him,she knew she'd been spotted n literaly dissappeared!!!
Just keep ya wits bout ya ul be fine. Oh the uk aint bad either (sometimes!)

Sounds like a great trip, have fun. Couple of tips, though.

Morocco is not in Europe but on the African continent. You will notice the difference. Frankfurt is about an eight or so hour flight from Denver, not 16. Try to adopt the rhythm of the destination country right away, if you can. That is already in the airplane set your watch to European time and do the same things you would do there. That is, if the European time is midnight or later, try to sleep. If it is 8am try to stay awake on the plane. Bring something to cover your eyes or to do during the flight depending on when you start.

I'd check if you need a visa for Morocco, unless you already got that taken care of. I'd also possibly skip Morocco. It's not enough time to be of any benefit but it takes time away that could be spent better some place else.
