Cheap, bulk wire?
Does anyone know where I can find 12-14 ga wire (hopefully as 2 conductors) for really cheap? I need about 1000' of it, and I can't find a spool <$100. Its not for audio or anything, it just has to carry around 6 amps of current.

monoprice has good prices on cables, but they might run a bit more than you're willing to spend b/c it's speaker wire.

I got almost all of my wiring needs here: Waytek Wire A few quick searches: 1000 feet of SPEAKER CABLE 22GA GRAY JACKET for $46 1000 feet of 16GA SPEAKER WIRE CLEAR JACKET 1 BC 1 TC for $127 500 feet of PARALLEL BONDED CABLE 14GA GPT2 COND RED AND BROWN for $95 A 1000 feet is a boat load - you sure you need that much. They have a ton of wire - the above is just a quick search. Easiest way is to download the catalog in PDF and then put in the item numbers. I know I bought several thousand feet of Automotive Cross-Link wire from them several years ago that only ran me a few hundred - so look around the site good.
