Ouch! Injury takes an activity from a hobby to a sport. Hope it heals up all right.

In the interim, I bow down to your Q'ness.

I'm glad to hear the brats came through OK. I was worried about them for a second.

Nice war wound. Sometimes you have to suffer for your art. Here's some balloons= and a dancing chicken=

WOW Quite the tattoo ! Coming from a chef that's got many nasty grease burns you should really get some Silvadene Cream. Google it you can buy it online but it's usually by prescription. If you need help finding it send me a private message.

+++ on the Silvadene. I had second degree flash burn on my hand from lighting charcoal with gasoline and it healed scarless using this stuff.
BTW, really, don't ever use gasoline to start charcoal.
Take care of that wound and in a month it will just be a story.

Yup, and don't use white gas to relight a campfire that you thought had been out for hours. Nothing like that smell when your hair catches on fire. Looked like a mummy for a few weeks.

I did that a few years ago and caught the end if the gas can on fire.
Threw it in the air and it was like something out of a movie.
It could have been a very bad day that day.

on the Silvadene Cream.
I have a prescription being called in and will pick it as soon as its ready.

Now that's funny!

Hope everything heals well! As others have said, do not fool around with infection possibilities. My wife and I went through that and it can be a long painful process. So be very careful.

Ouch!

The safety manager for one of the contractors on my last job did the same thing...but with a pot of boiling water for a shrimp/crawdad boil. Poor guy has been out of work for months with that one.

Hope you heal up quick.

Re: Grilling gone bad !

Be careful during the healing process. I have second to nealy 3rd degree burns on my legs and it was a very long and painful healing process. Burns can get infected very easily. Hope it gets better sooner than later

Re: Grilling gone bad !

I have to agree with others on this thread, any hint of infection and go see your MD.

But I have to ask Chas, maybe you would like some remedial training around items of flammable nature???

PS... I am a firemanand I have burned many things, intentional and unintentional
