I use the same BB system for the local home brew club. There is a setting (as your user name changes you evolve as a gorilla) If PDS sets it as true, ie to allow default settings, all the user titles will remain the same until you hit the next level and then the computer will change you to silverback etc. But there is a magic button to update all user titles to the original settings.

I think it would be more fun to leave them until the next threshold, like me, when i hit 3,000, the newbies will get theirs changed quicker, but the fogs will have to whore it for a longer period of time.
