Nip/Tuck and a Cigar
Well, my best friends (3 of them) get together every Tuesday night at 9 P.M. Central and sit around the boob toob for another new episode of Nip/Tuck.
Brandon and Cliff (ex-roomates from dormitory and 2 chairmen on my Cigar Club) have an apartment about 20 feet away from mine, so Jess (my best friend and roomate now) and me go over to their place. They don't mind smoking inside and the fire alarms are worthless (take the battery out just in case) so Brandon, Cliff, and I all light up...poor Jess has asthma so he just watches as we bask in heaven. Tonights Feature: Torano Exodus 1959 Tonights episode was amazing, amputation with garden shears, a fiery plane wreck, a fork in some chicks chest, and a daughter killing her mother. (I could go into details, but for those who have not watched I don't want to ruin the surprises) The smoke was fine, these cigars are amazing when they are all ya got! I actually just made my second purchase ever towards cigars, I bought an Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva and a Davidoff Millenium Blend for a total of $20, I also recieved 2 Flor De Gerard (never heard of them) from my Uncle for being his son's godfather. Any of you guys get together with friends and watch a show with a fine cigar? It has become tradition with us...

I watched it myself.
Amputation via garden shears. That had to hurt. The guy was still awake. We need to see some of hot Kimber. But, I think the Carver killed her. Julia looking hotter and hotter as well. Cant xmoke in my house so no cigar with this episode for me.

Re: Nip/Tuck and a Cigar
I've gotten to be a fan of these FX series. I think I like The Shield best, but I know it's probably not going to end well for Mackey and the boys. Rescue Me is a lot quirkier than the others, but was getting a little bit harder to like towards the end of last season. Every time Tommy starts to get back in shape, something happens to screw it up, and I hated it when they had his boy get run over by a drunk driver. I thought it was pretty sloppy irony.
As far as Nip/Tuck, it really has an interesting morality tale thing going sometimes, which is an interesting contrast to all the vanity, eroticism and skin. And the competing revulsion and fascination with the lifestyles going on is engaging. I kind of liked last season better, but I think now that Christian (again, somewhat ham-handed irony) is back in the game, it should get interesting. I think everyone thinks the slasher is going to be the new dude, but I think he is a decoy. Jeeze, do I sound like a teenage girl talking about a soap opera or what? Scary. |

Re: Nip/Tuck and a Cigar
I really like this series, but since i live in Mexico i think i am 1 season behind. 3 weeks ago the 2nd season ended (the one that ends with the slasher attacking Christian) and they started it again. DOnt know how long will it take till season 3 starts. But over here they dont pass it on FX they pass it on FOX (latin FOX).

Re: Nip/Tuck and a Cigar
I really enjoy this show, but it is getting a tad too dark, and the characters are getting really unsympathetic, almost revoltingly so. Even Sean, who I had some sympathy for, is turning into a real jackass.

Re: Nip/Tuck and a Cigar
thats the point, it is what makes this show so great...the unsympathetic guy turned mushy and was going to get married and now he is an asshole again...how could you not like the turn of events? The story line and overall multiple schematics attending this festival of evil is just pure genius, it is like the writers all sit around and see how they can make their audiences face just look appaled...and I love it.

Re: Nip/Tuck and a Cigar
A show where every character is dark, moody, selfish and unsympathetic is a little one-dimensional. There ought to be at least one character the audience is sympathetic for, who the audience has some hope for. I don't see anyone like that recently.
