Saw this posted on another board and felt it needed to be posted here. It's videos like these that remind me to sit and reflect and stop to appreciate the service men and women who serve this country to protect the freedom that many Americans take for granted. Thank you!

Last week I was taxing my plane into the gate at DTW and I noticed that at the gate next to mine their was a marine color guard guarding the casket of a fallen soldier on his or her final trip home. At that point it really hit home how the men and women in the armed forces continue to make the ultimate sacrifice for us. While I was walking around doing the post flight I went over and thanked those soldiers for the job they are doing.
That was one sight I hope that I don't have to see again.

I make sure that every day I say a prayer for those men and women who are in harms way protecting us and our way of life.
