The Club Stogie Random Advice Thread

This is a thread for all of you out there to post your non-cigar advice. It can be funny advice or serious advice it's up to you. It doesn't have to have a topic or even pertain to anything in particular. I was just thinking that it would be cool to have a place to post little tidbits of advice that we have learned throughout our lives... for example, I'll start:

Always smell your milk before you drink it. There's nothing quite as disgusting as a mouthful of soured milk.

Wait at least 10 minutes after brushing your teeth before attempting to drink a glass of Orange Juice.

Don't eat yellow snow.

Better yet, just stay away from yellow snow all together.

Respect your elders, they have the knowledge and experience we all wish we had.

Respect your youngsters, they have knowledge about things that didn't even exist when you were their age.

Read as much as you can.

Know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

So now you see what I'm talkign about. The advice doesn't have to be serious but it can be, it doesn't have to be funny but it can be, it can be random, it can be stupid. The only thing I ask is that you keep it clean and mostly tasteful. This should be fun to watch and interesting to read if people actually keep posting.

Don't pee into the wind unless you like a golden shower.

Don't ever try to smoke a cigar from the lit end, if you are drunk, make sure you're putting the end that isn't on fire into your mouth.

Just because it's in a bottle, don't assume it is drinkable (motor oil drunk while drunk?)

When someone ask if you're a god, you say "YES".

Let the wookie win.

Always merge on the interstate going at least the speed of the traffic flow you are merging into, because it is always eaiser (and faster) to slow down, than to speed up.

When I first started as an apprentice 31 years ago, the technician I first worked with had this on his hard hat and I'll never forget it: Know what the Hell you're doing.

It's better to silent and let people think that you are stupid than to open your mouth and prove them right.

Light travels faster than sound. That is why some people appear intelligent, until they speak.
