Hey Jeff, wasn't trying to be... er... arsey, it just amused me! I added the BBC link 'cos... well, I figured a site outside of the US and in the UK would be slightly more up to date... the Fox page appears to be saying 'the police think it was accidental' too.... But by the time I got up this morning (9.30) it was already on the accident theory, and the plane had been ruled out. Just logged on and saw this, and... well... the edit bit about suburbs is true...

12/11 is what caught my eye. Oh and the fact Al Z beseeched the followers to attack western gas depots just last week. He did the same thing before 3/11 warning Spain. It's irresponsible but entirely in character for the western governments to discount the terrorism angle immediately. Why? Stop panic and sectarian violence. Jeez I never thought it would be an issue in the west, "sectarian violence". Oh well.

Glad you are keeping a stiff upper lip Lumpy. We wouldn't have expected anything less from our allies in GB.

Sectarian Violence not an issue in the west? Hmm.... I think this is another 'shining' example of what jeff was talking about before... Northern Ireland is completely sectarian violence - The Protestants want to stay CoE/Protestant and the Catholic want to reunite with Eire. Alot of violence in Glasgow is secterian (Rangers/Celtic... Protestant/Catholic).

On why would they want to play down terroists.. I think right now, if Tony Blair could find a good reason for keeping troops in Iraq, like a terrorist bombing, we'd know, and Norman Kember would be very worried.

Point taken. It doesn't sound like a lot of fun and ertainly not something to want to see grow. I'd be playing it down if I was in charge.

Big coincidence if it isn't terrorism. To me, given the current circumstances that you mentioned, it's terrorism until proven otherwise. But, I hope it was just a big accident.
