Tattoo Design Programs?

Just wondering if anyone knew of any Tattoo Design programs? I want to plan out my tattoos, that I'm going to be getting on my back, and would like to be able to have a program where I can plan them out in.

I've actually never heard of something like that. Seems like a cool idea though

If you find something let me know as I'm sure it would be a blast to play around with

Re: Tattoo Design Programs?

I have never seen a program specifically designed for tattoo planning. Most of my artists use Photoshop and Illustrator for tattoo design. You can use Google images to find just about anything and then cut and paste until you have something close. Sketching it out then scanning it can also be helpful. Once you get a solid idea, your tattoo artist should be able to take your rough design and redraw it into a work of art. Feel free to PM me if you need any help.

Exactly, PS and Illustrator. Even the sample tattoo templates and the ones you buy off the Internet all come in EPS or otherwise PS/Corel friendly formats.

They should invent a 'CAD'-based tattoo machine. It would be perfect, yet painfully unforgiving.

Yeah, just try to keep yourself perfectly still for a period of time while a machine does work on your ass. I think I will stick with the capable skills of a human over a machine.

Neither human nor machine will ever work on my ass - this I assure you. Point taken.
