Paul, keep safe, I hope you have as exciting a journey as possible and that you stay safe while you are in Afghanistan, but I believe we have a month of you yet, so lets all have fun now!

And if you need a humi-sitter for 12 months, let me know, I'll scrounge a plane ticket from somewhere!

Mmmmmmm, wonder if I can pull something off from Down Under. I'm sure Paul will need a jar of Vegemite or 2 to keep up his strength oh and some cigars too of course. Someone keep me posted please, I would be only to happy to give it ago from here.

Good luck and stay safe Paul... oh and watch out for falling jars of brown goop. Here's to a safe return.

I would be more than happy to act as the norteast co-ordinator for Club Stogie Afganistan. The post office is within walking distance of my house and I have both DHL and FedEx facilities within 5 minutes.

I have family in Iraq and a close friend in Kuwait - so I am up to date with the procedures.

I don't think we can do enough to support our folks over there.

Just let me know how I can help.

Another example of "our troops".

Storage is going to be the issue. Paul what do you have / what are you allowed to bring. Cooler would work fine but temp control could be a problem. Shrink wrapping would help isolate any issues with beetles.

AHHHH. Weekly packages of CRS (Cigars Ready to Smoke)

Now that would be fun..I am authorized up to 4 bags and 200lbs of gear. That's fine, I thought, but what about my uniforms and stuff... I have a 50 count Otter box that can probably hold 75 if packed right. That could last me a couple months at a time....

Re: Navydoc going to afghanistan

I think one a week ready to smoke deliveries would be appropriate in this scenario. Got to include enough for any fellow afghan herfers. Maybe we can just assign a week's delivery to volunteers and they can ship from their location. That would mean we have to account for 52 packages being sent. Need to make sure no dog rockets get shipped.

Knowing the government even if we ship one a week they will probably arrive in bunches.
