Creating Ring Tones for the Iphone
Found this web site that describes how to create ring tones for your Iphone without shelling out two bucks each time (.99 to download the file and .99 for Itunes to reduce the play time and convert it).
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=439 Worked like a charm and I now have Pete Townsend's opening riff of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' as my ringer. ITunes didn't even have that one available. FWIW...

Yea, thats a very nice bug from Apple; I do mine slightly differently, with Audacity to chop the song lengths. Does it work for more recent firmwares? I'm still running JB 1.2 and iTunes 7.6 since I don't know if they will still work with the later versions.

Thanks for the Audacity tip. It should make it easier to trim the play lengths.
I'm running 2.0.1 (its a new phone) and it worked. Mine's not JB'ed either.
