You seem to have anger issues, calm down, smoke a cigar and have a few fingers of scotch. Either that or get a prescription for Prozac or something.

What you meant and how it came off are two really different things particularly on a message board where there are no social cues like inflection.

Regardless you are screwing with the wrong guy. PNOON is one of THE most respected members of this board and a moderator. Put your ego aside and take it as a gentle nudge to treat political threads differently than the forum at large.

As he said it is hard enough on the moderators when things get political around here don't make it harder by making an issue out of nothing.

Back to the original topic... I would have voted for mcCain in 2000 without a second thought. He would have been a far better president than Bush IMHO. For this election he seems to have changed his beliefs to fit with the republican mainstream. It saddens me to see this because I even though I am a democrat I am not a big fan of Obama, too much rhetoric and not enough substance for me. Anyways I haven't decided who I will vote for yet, but I am not a big fan of the options out there. Just a few months ago I was actually happy with the choices this year. I started looking into the stated positions and now I feel like I am backing into the corner of the lesser of two evils. No matter who wins I am having a hard time believing that America will not lose.

On a lighter note, how about this guy for President?

Seems like a good choice and he could get the job done:

I too would have voted for McCain at one point too but I have no confidence in him now. What really tripped it for me is here was a man who was tortured as a prisoner of war, fought against torture around the world actively his entire political career, even originally denounced the Bush administrations use of aggressive interrogation (torture). Then when it became apparent that he couldn't get the nomination without embracing torture he did. If you can 180 on your most core political and personal beliefs for political expediency you don't believe in anything and I can respect that and I can't support someone I can't respect. I understand changing stances on some issues that are more technical or administrative. I can even understand retreating to neutral on issues that are politically to hot to campaign on. I can't understand embracing an amoral policy that you have opposed for 30 years as a defining issue of your career. That I can't stomach.

IMHO McCain is the best Democrat running this year and Obama is the best Socialist Worker's Party candidate.
Aren't political threads fun?

Re: jack-ass Joe Biden is off to a good start

I've said for a couple of months that my vote was McCain's to lose. Now, with Biden on the Democratic ticket, I doubt McCain can screw up enough to lose my vote.

Are the shovels and flamethrowers gone yet?

I am at a loss for who I want to vote for. I dont really like either canidate and the only one I can really relate to is a Green party canidate, but, even then I can only see eye to eye with him for so long, after that hes just an old guy that looks like Colonel Sanders...
