Bummer dude
Woke up this morning to my wife telling me she is sick (throwing up and more) and my Step- Grandmother (that lives with my Dad) just got out of the hospital from a real close to fatal call with Bronchitis turned Pneumonia (she's getting up there and been very fragile) so we can't go out to Dad's house tonight (my brother included since he is living with me at the moment) so we don't spread germs.

Haven't missed CHRISTmas eve at my Dad's for almost 25 years... it has always been the big day of the year for the whole family... everyone is usually there... was even planning on burning that 98 Parti that Tom sent me...

Guess we'll stay in and watch a video or two.... bummer!

Sorry to hear about the illness in your family. Wow, first time in 25 years missed. I remember the first time I missed Christmas at my Grandparents house. Very traumatic. Maybe it is time for the passing of the torch to you Rod, and start a new tradition. I took the handoff 7 years ago with my family and it is not the same, but that's OK, things change. I hope everyone is feeling beter for the new year.

I just sent notice to the kids that they can't come over... per Grandma. She is not dangerously sick or anything.... just the flu and she is tough anyway but we don't want to get the Grandkids sick.

MAN this is one boring CHRISTmas... sitting here in the jungle in-between sessions of BF2 (and that is getting boring fast too).......

Heck, I'm so bored I might just skip my CHRISTmas eve smoke.

So sorry to hear bad news there, good luck hope everyone is doing better soon. I will never forget the Christmas of 2001 when my dad had a triple bypass, that was a very trying time for my family as well, so you have my empathy my brother!!
