Starting Over......
I hesitated about posting this but what the hey...... Some of you know I am going to law school at night. I am a pretty successful chemical engineer with a 29 year career in this field. I was divorced, met a nice lady and we were engaged, she passed away four years ago before we were married. I was sitting around the house feeling sorry for myself every night and decided I needed to do something (kick myself in the butt) so I started going to school 2 years ago. That is going well. Not sure exactly what I will do with the degree, I am thinking of focusing on patent law. My daughters are grown now and they live with their Mom about a mile away so I see them all the time. But something was missing in my life. I live alone in my house and had decided that was how I was going to spend the rest of my life.
This summer I realized I didn't want to spend the rest of my life alone. What to do? How do you meet someone at 51 years of age? So I went on eharmony and signed up (I used to laugh at all their commercials, figured it was a gimmick). Filled out their lengthy questionnaire and profile stuff and started receiving matches. One in particular intrigued me. We communicate through e-mails, then phone calls, and had our first date. The first time I met her I knew she was the person I had been looking for my whole life. After a few more dates it was obvious that she felt the same about me. So this past weekend I gave her this....   We are planning on getting married by the end of the year! At first it was going to be next summer but shoot after this semester I'll have time between Christmas and New Year's to tie the knot so what the heck. I guess you can "reinvent" yourself after 50!  Lisa has moved in and we are having a great time together. The only downside is between her 2 adult daughters and mine I am outnumbered 5 to 1! Good thing none of the kids live with us. I have never felt better in my life and wanted to share this with my fellow Brothers and Sisters.Oh and cigars are not a problem with her, smoking in the house is not a problem. I asked her what about winter. She replied, "That's what air cleaners are for". She's a Red Sox and Patriots fan. Just a perfect match....

One of my best friends used eharmony and he has been happily married now for 3 years. Happiest I have seen him. Sounds like you picked a good one too! Go RedSox!! If you are ever in southern maine send me a pm and we can have a mini herf! Congrats again!!
