This is a discussion on DVD backup within the General Discussion forums, part of the Everything But Cigars category; I guess you're talking about a PC. My Mac and I use Mactheripper and Popcorn. Works very well for Macs....

The wave file stored on the CD is lossless so how can you convert to lossless? BTW, what losssless format are you referring to?

Threadjack...

Allow me to re-phrase, I extracted the wave file, converted to FLAC format (a compressed lossless format).

Those little booger eaters can clear through 100 dvd's in five minutes and make coasters out of all of them.

I hear yeah loud and clear. I guess I look at it from a different angle, why waste time on copying DVD's when one could make better time of properly securing the DVD's from kids/dogs/etc? You secure them once, problem solved. I have lots of rare CD's (gold CD's, etc). I built a custom cab and the babies are well... safe from the babies (and some of my clumsy friends).

I guess I have different logic, bad or good, don't hate me.
