Public figures are scrutinized in excruciating detail.

Pick your nose in public (Bush) .... look at your snatch on the beach (Kournikova), make a comment about cutting sombody's nuts off (Jesse J) ... and there is a good chance you'll be immortalized.

You don't anticipate your bedroom being bugged if you are a public figure, you SHOULD anticipate anything done in public is public.

Unfortunately, controversy breeds attention and Michael Moore knows this better than most. You can take just about any subject matter and put your own spin on it and then mix up some truth and blend in lies and you have a recipe for controversy. To suggest that others need to suffer so that a convention will not get the ratings it looks for is lunacy. I have seen enough of Michael Moores stuff to know that he isn't playing with a full deck as much as he tries to play himself as a caring person who makes documenatary films about sensitive subjects.
