I thought it was his way of replying to the Religious Right's (Falwell and Robertson) comments that 9/11 was G-d's punishment for rights protecting homosexuality and abortion. Guess that was OK though.

Strange times we live in when two wrongs make a right.
I am sure that if the thread would have been about those two you would have seen the same type of remarks. Seeing as how the thread was about MM then naturally the remarks were aimed towards him.

They got caught issued a "non-apology" where they attacked a Dead Evangelist called the guy who taped the conversation a nutcase.

They are not apologizing for what they said, they are just sorry they got caught.

This is exactly what popped into my head when I heard the story. That is why I brought up Dobson's groups Prayer for Rain.
A few leaders of the religious right had also said that Katrina was God's punishment for all of the Sin that took place in the French Quarter. Fortunately the French Quarter was spared.
I'll say once again that I have no desire to defend MM, but I am not quite as offended when put into that context.

I just read where he said that this must be an "act of God" directed at the Republicans. He's the true meaning of why the democratic parties mascot is a jacka$$!
