Well, I finally got my stuff last Sunday. The movers showed up at 8pm while I was down with the flu but my cigars appear to be ok. They will need some time to rest though. Sorry for not being on recently. Between the move and having the flu; things have been pretty nuts. I haven't even had a cigar in over a week. So far everything has been great. The job is going real well and my family is ten times happier here. I can't wait to see snow fall this winter. I have never seen it snow before. I can't say that I miss California at all. I finally have a back yard.

I would negotiate, ask for benefits or at least a contractual period of time that you are guaranteed a position with him. Explain your dilemma and let him know your requirements. He will probably respect you coming to him with this information and realize you are not just looking for a "job" but a fruitful long term career. I cannot imagine an employer having an issue with that. All the best, it is a tough call though. What does your wife say?
