NEED HELP!! LCD TV used as window display

I thought I would throw this out there in case an gorillas had any experience in this area . . .

At my office we recently had a local, highly respected audio/video shop come in and install a 46" NuVision LCD TV in our front window. The TV is connected to a Dell laptop which is cycling through a PowerPoint presentation that includes both stills and video.

The problem is during the day (even overcast days) the TV is almost completely washed out by the sunlight. I've got a few ideas kicking around in my head about what might help the situation but I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this or generally other ideas on how to improve the situation. Thanks!

As its a new installation, I would call the company that put it in and ask them to adjust it to your needs. They may tell you that you need to put some kind of tint on the glass to optimize things.

I'd try a shadow box. Use cardboard around the perimeter of the TV, then lay over standard neutral gray car or window tint film which will reduce ambient light from reaching the screen.
