Actually I originally did put cigars in this cooler till I got a humi =] heh.. maybe the bear smelt the cigars i had in there before !!!

Damn Rice! I knew those bears north of Steeles Ave. were beasts but that is scary! that cooler had no chance - Now i know why Pelican cases has this disclaimer on their lifetime warranty...

Yah i've heard that they are very dangerous when they don't get their share of beer and cigars. Whats that, wrong kind of bear? I'll just sit in the corner and be quiet.

We've had a pair of small black bears around the Ranch eating the choke cherries in the coulees. Probably two year olds and litter mates. We are ALWAYS careful to keep things clean, no garbage or attractants at all. Yesterday evening I let my 12 yr old Siberian out and two minutes later I hear excited barking in the back field.

I grabbed a light and was able to see Roscoe chasing the TWO small bears through the tall grass towards the hills behind the house. Minute later I hear all sorts of limbs cracking as he had BOTH of them treed in a big pine!! Was he ever proud of himself. He barked at them for a few minutes.....peed all over the base of the tree, pawed the ground to leave some scent and came home.

Two hours later they were still up the tree. No sign of them this morning.
