If you feed your dogs or cats Diamond, Country Value, or Professional brand dog or cat food, you absolutely must read THIS story. This is not a joke! Over a hundred dogs have already been killed due to aflatoxin contamination from bad corn that was used in these foods. The affected foods were made at a plant in South Carolina, but have been shipped to other states and Europe as well. States that have received contaminated food include Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky (eastern), Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Vermont, and Virginia.

yep, i saw that. i almost started my black lab on that stuff, as a co-worker said it was very good stuff (he's had mastiffs, siberian huskies, a bulldog, etc).

sucks for those other ppl.

my lab almost killed himself (by eating the jacket stuffing out of my step sons jacket in the backyard)... i was on a trip, my wife was all torn up (her first dog), and was about to have to put him to sleep...

My dogs eat like billy goats so they are usually safe. It would be a real shame to lose a dog because of somebody's lack of interest or incompentance. Thanks for the heads up.

I stopped feeding my dog Diamond products after hearing other things about it as well. Just in case anyone feeds their dog Costco dog food, I believe it it manufactured by Diamond. I now feed my dog Canidae and switch with Innova.

This is why i feed my dogs and cats only IAMS dog food and cat food. I am suspicious about the ingredients and practices of mass food manufacturers and I love my pets, so the extra cost does not faze me one bit.

I like Nutro for the dog and Science Diet for the cat. The nutro is supposed t be made with grains tha the dog can actually digest, cord supposedly does not digest in the dog's stoach and thus passes right trough. If it is a bunch of crap feel free to tell me, I am just going on what a friend told me.

IAMS is terrible. Their dog tests of their food is just about the worst in the industry. I use newmans own dog food because they guarantee that they don't mistreat animas during product testing. Human grade food is the only way to go for mans best friend.
