Any Bowflex owners?

Are their any bowflex owners out here? If so, how do you like it?

I've always messed with them at the sporting good stores and thought they were awesome. I've wanted one for sometime, but never wanted to spend $1,500 or whatever they cost.

The owner of the B&M I work at has one and told me he wanted to get rid of it, naturally I inquired. He told me it was barely used - in excellent condition and even has all the leg attachments and stuff.

He said if I come get it, $100.

What a sick deal! I am going to get it next weekend and set it up in my garage, can't wait to start working upper body, I have to wait for surgery and PT to work the legs.

Pull the trigger. $100 is a steal. I've thought one would be great to have.

I would get it, but there are several levels/kits of bowflex.

Even if it's the basic model, it seems a deal

Rock that Bowflex, Darrell, so when you are 50, you can be in the best shape of your life, and play in a rock band too!!!

100 bucks is a no brainer, I hope you enjoy it, and it will certainly be a boon to your PT.

I have the Bowflex SE and love it. I got it when my wife got a elliptical machine and use both everyday. They really help keep you tone.

I will say when I was in High School I had one. I dont think it replaces lifting if you are trying to build raw strength. But as an aerobic (so many exercises) and getting lean and building some definition it worked great.

Re: Any Bowflex owners?

I love the Bowflex and mine is about 5 years old. If you are getting the leg extensions and such you are getting a steal. $100 for a Bowflex under any condition is pretty cheap. I went from the Bowflex to the Total Gym and like the Total Gym better because it's quicker to go thru the exercises and easier but at the end of the day it's all about what you will use and the Total Gym is not cheap.

Absolutely get it Darrell....that price is less than a couple/tree months of a gym membership.

Re: Any Bowflex owners?

I've used the original Bow-Flex and liked it. It does take a little time to get used to the cables if you're used to the feel of free weights. It has a pretty big footprint. If you have the space, it is a good machine. You can definitely pack on some muscle, if you work at it (I did).

I have a Bow-Flex Revolution now and really like it.

Re: Any Bowflex owners?

I have one, It's a good system. Thats a great price. With some extra addon's, some extra cable and some thought you can come up with a lot of exercises that it wasn't designed for. The only problem That I'm having is that I'm starting to out grow the weight max on my machine.

My uncle has one and seems to be able to hang a great deal of clothing on it. Same with his nordic track.
