I was lookin through them and saw a 1969 Chevy C10 for sale. This thing was sweet, lifted, big tires, just awesome classic southerner truck. Later on that night a guy who hangs out at the store stopped by and I told him what we were thinkin and he has a 1977 3 speed automatic Chevy C10/K10 with AWD and he has a transfer case I can put in to make it manual hubs and 4H and 4L. I dont know the condition it is yet but he says it needs a whold hell lot of work but I can have it for FREE. The restoration would be a total rebuild and I would be putting in a new crate engine probably a 350 with 375 HP with a 4 speed manual.

Have any gorillas taken on a project like this? Any suggestions about what I should put in it? Any help is very much appreciated!
That sounds like a blast, I would do a crate 350/383 stroker, see if you can't find an NV4500 tranny somewhere. I dunno about his TC, but a Dana 300 or 20 are always a good choice for manual hubs.

I guess it really depends on what you want to do with it. What axles does it have? because if you want bigger tires you may want bigger axles if it's sporting 10-bolts
