Southern hopspitality still exists

Today I rode my Harley to the B&M and stayed for a smoke. On the way home my bike began to spit and sputter like it was out of gas. I had just filled up 12 miles ago so I knew it wasnt out of gas. I tried to "limp" home with it popping like crazy. I have drag pipe so it was really loud.

Well it finally gave up and I pulled onto the grass. A pickup pulled in front of me and a man and his son got out to help. He stated that he was inside and heard me pass having problems and they dropped what they were doing to come and help. He went back to his house to get some spark plugs but they were not the correct ones. After the bike cooled a bit it fired up and he said that he had to go home fo a minute but would not be far behind to make sure that I got home. I thanked him and told him what street I lived on and left. I had to stop a couple of times to let it cool but made it home. I pulled the bike into the garage and when out front for a smoke. A couple of minutes later I saw them drive by.

This is something rare around here and I am glad to see that there are still people willing to go out of their way to help a stranger.

[SIZE=3]Thats awesome,when somone I don't know stops to help me out the first thing I do if they won't accept any money is that i tell them i will repay the favor to someone else I see that needs help like I did.You never know what will happen day to day the least someone can do is keep the favor going.[/SIZE]

Excellent to hear. Bicycle or motorcycle, I never pass anyone without making sure they're ok on the side of the road. I usually don't have much but its theirs if they need it.

BTW, I flatted on the bicycle today (I hate bike paths) and only one guy asked if I had everything. Even a bike cop rode by and ignored me (must have seen I was covered but still). If I was on the road, I'd bet everyone including a couple cars would have stopped to check. Different clientele I guess.
