I joined the Army when I was 25, served 3 years as an FO for the Field Artillery and then got out.

Nope when I was 17 I did the whole recruitment process and took all the tests, but when I stopped playing sports they found that I was a type 1 diabetic. Telling that to a recruiter stops his phone calls pretty quick.

no, was turned down. Father was in the army, grandfather was too. Thank you to all the troops. You are the main reason we can all do what it is that we want to.

US Navy submariner (97-07). USS Nevada (SSBN 733 Blue) and USS Jimmy Carter (SSN 23). Joined at 17. Good times.

Dutch army cavalry, national service 1994. SSV 140 VERKBAT located in Nunspeet, the most active unit of the Dutch army untill we got replaced an airborne division. I made corporal within a few months.

I served in the Navy from 1990-1994 in Charlston SC, Saudi Arabia and Oman Africa.
