Estes Park and Colorado Springs

I recently spent some time in Estes Park and Colorado Springs. On my way there I had the pleasure and honor of meeting and herfing with MACMS and OPUSXFD. I wanted to share some pix of this wonderful area:
Many are views of the Estes Park Scottish Games and back drop from our hotel across Lake Estes.

You must admit that my state is beautiful and even more so through the lens of Hugh's camera.

BTW, the chicks dig my antlers!

Damn you, you would have had to torture me like that! My Family has a cabin about 10 miles out of estes park, I love the brewery and there use to be a small B&M in town, I would pick up a few sticks and go fishing. A many a time we spent the 4th watching fireworks over that lake. It sad to say but I have not been there in 7 or so years. Damn Elk and Deer are almost a nusiance there, but still a wonderful sight!

Beautiful! Every summer when I was younger the fam would go to Estes Park and stay at Workshire Lodge. Lots of great memories of looking up at Deer Mountain!

Many fond memories for me as a kid from there. My parents took us to the Y camp 3-4 times. Hiked up flattop and longs peak. Such a beautiful area.

Re: Estes Park and Colorado Springs

I was just in Estes and Springs two weekends ago and in Breckenridge and Vail this past weekend. There's nothing quite like having places like this just a short car ride away. cheers.
