Chicago and Notre Dame

So this weekend I am flying up to Chicago and Saturday going to the Notre Dame Stanford game. Not a huge fighting irish fan but the trip is mostly gratis so I figured what the hell. Never been to Chicago or South Bend. Anything that I for sure should not pass up?

Well I am leaving today around 3. So far the only thing I have for sure to do is grab some pizza, who knows where.

Giordanos probably has the best pizza in the City, they have a couple different locations.

Iwan Ries is a cool B&M, as well as Jack Schwartz if you are looking for things cigar or pipe related.

Navy Pier is a good time if you want to see the skylinw from a cool perspective and do some partying.

Navy Pier is a great place to grab a bite
The Aquarium Museum is one of the best and it's down the street from the pier
Enjoy

If you are a big college football fan, in South Bend they have the College Football Hall of Fame, but besides that there is not much else in the South Bend area.

I'd recommend eating at Portillo's as well. The absolute best Italian sausage and beef sandwiches.

Ya we were going to go there if we had time. We are staying in CHI and driving out there for the game.
Should be fun! Wish I had a dog in the fight though!

I always hated Notre Dame...until I started dating a graduate. Still not really a fan but the atmosphere at the games is second to none. If you like football, you should really like attending a ND game. Every time I go to a game I get chills, it's just that cool even regardless of how good they are. Take some time and tour the campus too. It's absolutely beautiful

Enjoy your weekend!

Portillo's is friggin awesome!! Best quick food hands down. Go to Wrigleyville and get a bunch of Cubs stuff really cheap after they loose this next game Jack Schwartz is closed on the weekends, but Updown cigars is down there and also a great place.

Re: Chicago and Notre Dame

Really hate Notre Dame. I played football in high school and two years in a row Jimmy Clausin ruined my chances of a championship ring in the Semi-Finals. Grrrr!

Speaking of dogs, don't forget to grab a couple hot dogs while in town. Can't beat em, and can't get em anywhere else that is that good!
