The MO from the new violent crimes makes it obvious why it's happening and where it's coming from. It is more random, violent and often the perp does not give up when cornered. Lots of smash and grabbing going on, home invasions and apartment violence.

So personally I'd love to see re-patriation of NO.

I wondered about that situation and whether the people of NO would have any effect on the areas that they were moved to.

Sorry!

Re: Mayor Nagin and the Chocolate Factory

Please. Don't get me started. Y'all know where I'm at, so I don't want to stir the pot. But to paraphrase what I heard on the radio the other day, one wonders what would happen if a natural disaster hit Utah, and the Mayor of Salt Lake City said he was going to make it a Vanilla city again.

Funny how the double standard never gets quite the airtime, but when someone like Trent Lott even by accident says something that could be remotely twisted, they're run out of town on a rail.

Bias in the press? Nah! Say it ain't so.

And for those of you junkies that just can't get enough, check out Ann Coulter's piece in TownHall. She's a firebrand, that one.

So if we are to stay with the ice cream flavor theme. Lets say a natural disaster hit So Cal and the LA Mayor wanted everyone back, he would have to most likely refer to LA as 31 flavors with fruits and nuts?

Yep. And he'd likely offer you a tasty sugar cone to go with it.

What brilliance. What novelty. Making jokes about Ted Kennedy killing somebody and Bubba getting a 2-10 while talking about that moron Nagin. Talk about a broken record.

If thats all she's got (and apparently thats ALL she's got), she desparately needs the help of Anon-Y-Mouse. At least that guy knows how to put a slap-down on someone.

Yah, but if the shoe fits, no? Truth be told, I think she could be a tad less ribald, but let's consider the substance, not so much the style. Though there were a couple cute 'R' rated inuendos, mind you. But if it's broken records you want to talk about, can we please get Hillary away from the turntable? She's actually started chasing her own tail. (read into that, what you will)

I really take offence to this statement...

I can understand you blaming the citizens of New Orleans but to say the whole of Louisiana was at fault? For one thing, it is not like we said "Let's let em' loose on the rest of the U.S." Perhaps for your taste we should have built a 100 ft wall surrounding New Orleans, or Louisiana, so nobody could transition into a new city. I understand more violence, and I am originally from Houston and live in Baton Rouge...but I do not understand how you can blame Louisiana...we didn't just release the dogs. Baton Rouge was a city of 500,000 people that turned into a city of 1,000,000 overnight...we had looting up the wazoo yet I have not blamed anyone...it takes me an hour and a half to make a trip that would normally take 15 minutes..if this was 9/11 people wouldn't be saying anything but since we have no one to blame but mother nature why not just blame the state where all the problems are having...

HAHa!
I think the part or Nagins speech that was the best was the fact that he said that the hurricane hit New Orleans because God is mad at America. Even better though, He said New Orleans will be a chocolate city again because thats the way God wants it!!

The man speaks for God, and according to him, God wants New Orleans to be chocolate again (and I imagine that wouldnt hurt Nagins reelection chances much)

Trent Lott? Douche bag. Racists like him scare me much more than Hilary or Dubbya.

Dude, if it's racism you're after, I'd suggest you pay close attention to the statements coming out of the likes of Hillary, Nagins, and the "usual suspects". Plantation? Chocolate? All I can say is that it'll be an interesting mid-term and '08 election cycle.

I also notice that you didn't address the substance of my point that there's a double standard at work here. In the meantime if you can find any evidence that Lott is 'racist', I'd like to see it.
