Yep. All anti-gun laws do is disarm the average citizen, leaving them defenseless and at the mercy of the gov agencies like the police. Meanwhile, the laws havn't affected criminals access to guns.

Agreed. It seems to me that the libs are all about supporting their science and some supposed statistics concerning second hand smoke and they'll use those stats to ban smoking everywhere. Yet it has been statistically proven that crime, particularly violent crimes against women, are significantly reduced or lower in states and communities that permit the carrying of concealed weapons. Not only has it been statistically demonstrated, it's just common sense.

In Mayor Barry's defense, I do not think his gun control policy has anything to do with socialist agenda. I think he is trying to keep Crack Avauilable and Affordable

Barry is a councilman in DCs' Ward 8, the poorest in the city. His drug convictions and personal comportment mean very little, apparently, since he continues to be successfully re-elected to public office. One reason for this is during his tenure as the citys mayor he would create public sector jobs out of thin air for his cronies, (regardless of necessity), and get them, (and anyone else they thought necessary), on the citys payroll.
