Try This In Mexico!

saw this on another board. It's quite true and very thought provoking.

________________________________________

If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime,

TRY THIS:

Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense.

Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.

Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.

Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc. Procreate abundantly. Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behavior with, "It is a cultural USA thing. You would not understand, pal."

Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front window or on your car bumper.

Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children do likewise.

Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.

Demand a local Mexican driver license. This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal presence in Mexico.

Drive around with no liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws.

Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.

Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time or soon dead.

Because it will never happen. It will not happen in Mexico or any other country in the world except right here in the United States, Land of the naive and stupid, idiotic politically correct politicians.

Re: Try This In Mexico!

Right on dude, right on!!! Better yet, go down there and try to buy some property - OH YEAH THAT'S RIGHT YOU CAN'T OWN PROPERTY UNLESS YOU ARE A MEXICAN!!! We ought to pass reciprocal laws that say we will discriminate against your nationals in exactly the same way you are discriminating against ours.

...and that's because we keep electing "naive and stupid, idiotic politically correct politicians"...especially the ones who are in it for their own personal power as opposed to actually givng a damn about the citizens of the US...

Very true. And the crazy thing about it, it is not a partisan problem. No party in D.C. gives one damn about it.

Actually that's not true. Not to stir shit or anything I just wanted to let you know that as an American Citizen you can own property in Mexico. I have a friend who is a realtor and she sells property in Rocky Point Mexico. It takes a lot of paperwork but you can do it.

I agree with the thread I just wanted to clear that up.

I think you are right. Part of NAFTA. There are plenty of US citizens living in Mexico . Great trade. They send their young workers. We send our old geezers.

Lascivious, don't flame me on this one but it is my understanding that you can buy property in Mexico but you are actually buying a 99 year lease from the government. That lease is revokable at any time.

For example:
About 10 years ago there were a bunch of "property owners" from So Cal that "owned" property on the beach in Baja just south of Ensenada. The Mexican Gov't decided that they wanted the land back and notified the "property owners" that they had about six months to vacate.

The "property owners" were left with nothing and could do nothing about it.

Re: Try This In Mexico!

So. As a someone personally affected by this subject, I must object.

My mother-in-law came over with nothing. She is now married and makes $200k a year selling real estate, much of which goes to our government. She would still be in a dungheap little village and her daughter, whom I married, would not exist if some people had their way.

Oh, and go rent the movie "A Day Without Mexicans".

I agree that when the system is used properly its a great thing. I'm glad your Mom was able to make good when she came over. She is the type of person we want in our country. Hard working, honest, and willing to contribute to our tax system.

However, the type of "people" I deal with on a daily basis are your Drug Runners, Coyotes (people who deal in trading immigrants coming across the border), Coke Dealers, ex-cons, people who refuse to work and leech off the gov, People who steal American's identities and use them as their own, immigrants with about 5,000 different social security cards and ID's, etc. Basically, criminals. Yes, there is a small percentage of those who do the right thing and are hardworking. But the majority (I'm thinking 70-80%) I don't want in this country.

So is it better to exclude all and maybe punish the minority in order to enhance America's security etc, or is it better to let everyone in so we don't shut out the few honest ones?

Its the age old question, would you be able to kill a baby if it saved the lives of thousands dying of cancer?

I think that we all agree with you and that most of us are missing the real issue. LEGAL immigration to the United States is a good thing. LEGAL immigrants bring a lot of positive things to this country. If someone wants to come to the U.S. let them apply.

I did not like "A Day Without a Mexican". I feel that by allowing millions of the poorest of any immigrant group to flood into the country to work for substandard wages that you are basically "using" these people as slave labor. I don't like the argument that these people do the jobs that citizens won't do. If they weren't here in the numbers that they represent then the wages would be just high enough to attract the unskilled citizens to do the job.....simple economics. They don't have 11-15 million illegal aliens in Canada and they manage to fill all of the fast food, service sector, hotel and gardening jobs in that country.

BINGO!!!!!!

Right on the nose buddy. Me personally, I AM one of those people who don't mind sacrificing some for the greater good. Sometimes it must be done. Close the borders, put up some Border Patrol towers with Semi-Auto rifles for a few years. Immigration (as well as crime) will go down in the southern states and the drug trade will take a very large hit as well.

That's just my opinion... close the books, done!
