Email sent April 13 2004, just arrived today!

I just got three emails in my inbox that were sent nearly 2 years ago, some tech support stuff from Antec, and they just arrived today. Did internet bandits hold up the internet mail wagon or something? Anyone ever have this happen to them?

It happens from time to time. Depends on who you sent email through and all.

Old server at times held mail in a queue and waited to send it all in a packet back when bandwidth was costly. Could be that it was saved there in queue and server taken off line and then powered up later and sent it.

Check the postage. I bet they didn't put the right number of stamps on the e-mail envelopes!

Re: Email sent April 13 2004, just arrived today!

I had a real letter mailed to me from 11 miles away and it only took 8 days.
Might make sense if I was in the swampland of backwoods Uzbeckistan/Serbia/Croatia. But from one suburb of St.Paul to the next.
Never had that happen with email, though.

What Nely said. Most of the stuff sent to you on the internet can be spoofed to make it look like whatever the sender wants you to see. I would disregard it as SPAM.

Cheers!!

I'm pretty sure it was legit. I did email their tech support 2 years ago over a failed Power Supply. The emails contained no attachments or html, just a standard auto-reply with my case number.

Re: Email sent April 13 2004, just arrived today!

Goofy was a dog who decided to pass himself off as a man. He did this, to prevent himself from being spayed or neutered, shortly after watching an episode of The Price is Right.

But I ask you this, who would win in a fight, Superman or Mighty Mouse, I wonder.
