How much do you drink?

First, holy hell...its been a good 5 years since I've posted a poll on here. Forgive me if I mud this up.

Out of curiosity, how much does everyone drink on a given night (or morning, should that be your thing...who am I to judge)?

For this sampling, a drink is equal to one 12 oz beer (yeah, I know, they vary A LOT), one ounce of liquor, and whatever the hell a glass of wine is.

Way too much. My brother was up at my house last Friday. We started the evening grilling up burgers and downed a Six of Stone IPA. We the ran to the liquor store, came home and drank the following.

1 magnum bottle of Black Swan Cabernet
3- 4 packs of Guinness
1- 4pack of Boddingtons

We then went to the bar down the road and had about 6 beers and 6 shots each. The bartender let us take two more 4 packs of Guinness with us and we downed them when we got home.

Well, we woke up the next morning around 8am and told the wife I had some errands to do. While out (first stop). We went to this little pub in town under a old mansion, Had a few scotches and then hopped over to the Sussex Inn across the street for a few more. We were primed.

I work a strange schedule, 6 days on, and 3 days off. Out of the 6 days on working, probably one or two nights I'll have a few drinks, like 6-8 onces of whiskey or scotch. On my three days off, I'll usually get drunk one of them. Again, no beer.

Just for the record, I love beer but I am on a diet.

Well, I voted 3-4 based on your qualifications, but that is not how I look at it. I only have two drinks a night. They are in a tall glass and there is only rum or whiskey in the glass along with the ice.

Usually half a bottle of wine and maybe a glass or two of port.

Age has restricted my drinking to mostly on weekends. I'll still usually go through only 4-6 beers from Fri-Sun, and maybe a glass or two of wine or port. My body just can't recover as quickly anymore, especially when I have to get up early and be sharp (and responsible ) through the day.

All's not lost with age, however. Some things are much better

I can't play in your poll. I don't have a drink every night yet occasionally will imbibe midweek but not regularly. I wake up each morning at 2:30am so you can understand why I don't tie one on, not to mention that I 'try' to kinda diet during the week (have not been successful since Vegas 2 weeks ago), to save up for the weekend. As for drinking on the weekends, I'll have a nice Friday & Saturday with a few drinks, maybe Sunday if I'm feelin' crazy.

So much for being anonymous!

Couldn't agree more with your calculations, though mine are usually in double old fashion type glasses. I count it as one drink even though they would charge me a whole lot more for it at the bar than the going rate for one drink

If I'm partying probably about 14-15 beers. If its an easy night I'll split a 6er of some micro with my roommate.
