I always hear this from liberal out media outlets and from members of the ted kennedy party. They say Bush lied bush lied he duped us, hes pulling the wool over our eyes, then on the other hand they all say Bush is a moron, hes incompetent, hes stupid. I just think its ironic thats all, an accused complete moron pulled the wool over the eyes of half of washington DC, now come on you have to see the lie in this.
He didnt pull the wool over anyones eyes
Were his reasons to invade iraq true, no but hindsight is not wisdom. Were his reasons genuine? sure I believe so. Have we made the world a worse or better place since Sadam is out of power, and Iraqis are on the road to freedom? Better, I think you should ask the true iraqis about that

And one more thing, Everyone wants to be free. I attend class with a friend of mine that is from iraq, his family is still there. They live is the worst sunni part of the country, and what do they say about how it really is over there? They say they want to run out and hug every american soldier that walks down the street, they thank them for everything they have done, the only problem is that after the troops leave they are scared about what the thugs left over there will do to them.
Please dont listen to all the false retoric flying around in the US media, the truth is its a war between 20 million Iraquis that want peace and 10000 that want to stop that

you really need to sit in on some of the military seminars (like the one i'm working at ft. bragg right now)... i think it would change your mind.

I have enjoyed reading this thread but I am throwing my gloves in at this point.

I do say this with the utmost respect. This is the most ignorant statement I have read today, this week, this month, this year, this decade.
Are you serious?
Of course they have a right to self determination but unfortunately, that self determination is set by Castro, not the people.

To say they are doing pretty well defies common sense. Where the heck did you get that idea? You want to try to say that bullchit to me? To a Cuban forced to leave his country and come here with freaking nothing but the shirt on his back? To a Cuban who has not been able to see his family he left behind? To a Cuban whose mother has yet to see her brother in over 40 freaking years? To any Cuban who regularly send supplies and money so their relatives can somehow hang on another day? To any Cuban here in the US who has to send medicines regularly because a country that boasts so much about their medical community has no medications to provide to their people?

You want to try to explain to the Cubans down there that have no food, rationed small quantities of milk, no electricity most of the day due to its lack of existence, who live in shacks that they are doing pretty well?

I accept your statement is totally attributed to ignorance but, I believe the saying is so true.
It is best to be thought as ignorant than to speak and prove yourself so.

See, mosesbotbol, I told you what would happen if one of our Cuban brothers caught wind of your statement about Cuba and the state of its people...you should condsider yourself lucky that Carlos's comments were so even-toned, and that he didn't hit you with a negative ding...of all of the stuff you posted I would have to agree that this one was probably one of the most ignorant...I live in So. Florida, so the plight of the Cuban people tends to weigh a little heavier with us, given the proximity to Cuba and the rather large Cuban population down here...we hear first hand about the suffering their families go through down there, and when it's personal friends of yours telling you about the others in their families that they can't see, and haven't seen in years, and who have nothing, it hit's a little close to home considering how much of my family was lost to a brutal, maniacal dictator...you really need to educate yourself a bit before making comments like the above...

Blue I am truely humbled by your story. Americans live in relative luxury and freedom in comparison to the rest of the world. Your story exemplifies the error in logic and observation of the left wing. If you believe what you read/watch from the liberal media it easy to get caught up in ignorance. It takes a little time and energy to actually research the truth. Moses I hope you take Blue's story to heart. I hope you start to question the sources of your information. Then and only then can you think beyond the scope of a Michael Moore film.

Everything seems fine. We are all entitled to our opinions. History will decide what the facts are.

Just remember no talking about cigars here.

Personally I think you all should move to Canada and freeze your butts off waiting in line for an MRI. At least you could legally smoke a.. OOPs sorry forgot.

Re: Saddam, must have slipped down the slope to get in the hole they found him in

There are some well written and well thought out posts on this thread, but beyond doubt Blueface has written what cannot be ignored. Whatever your thoughts or opinions on the subject of Cuba, he has given us the unvarnished truth from the standpoint that matters the most. Sometimes we get so involved in the greater geopolitical arguments that we forget that ultimately we need to be concerned with people, and how our policies and actions affect them. I remember watching the Berlin wall come down, and one of my thoughts was how amazing that families that had not seen each other for years could finally get back together. I hope we will see the day soon when the same will happen for you and yours, Blueface.

As for Iraq....I think I am sick to death of hearing the whining of the intellectually corrupt constantly bringing up WMD's and their absence as proof that "Bush lied to me". If that is the only reason you think we are in Iraq then you are truly befuddled by the obvious, and if you think they were never found then you are completely ignorant.

Stupidity seems to be the most common WMD, and it exists everywhere, including the good ole USA.

Even George Sada couldn't ship stupidity to Syria. Too hard to box up.

It will be interested to see what comes of what he said. It seems much more probable than the WMDs all of a sudden vanishing.

Yeah, this one gets me, too.

This would be as if someone were to call me from out-of-town and ask what the weather tomorrow is 'cause they want to go golfing. I go check The Weather Channel and the report is clear, sunny, mid-70's. So they fly in, and while they're on the course, the skies open up and there's a thunderstorm. In the mind of a liberal, using their "logic", I'd be a liar.

Those of us paying attention know who the TRUE liars are. They're the guys telling us the President lied, and they do it with misdirection and telling half-lies.

"A man who tells lies is merely concealing the truth. A man who tells half lies forgot where he put it"

Uh, looks like I posted in the middle of a thread before reading the whole thing.

My bad.

Please go back to the mature & thoughtful debate you were having before the five year old came yelling & running through the room.
