Reasons to celebrate
Friday on the way home, talking to Frank on the cell phone (I know, I know) he informs me that my daughter's boyfriend came by and asked what he thought about asking my daughter to marry him. He told Frank that they both consider him to be a dad to them and wanted his thoughts on it. I could hear the pride in Frank's voice as he was telling me.

Well, he (my daughter's boyfriend) called me later that night and asked if we could come by and look at something... I knew what he was getting at but said sure, we'll come by. We went over and he showed me the ring that he was going to give my daughter, if she said yes. They haven't been getting along the best lately and he said that he's going to put it all on the line. There are times when they're not getting along the best but he does know that they're both completely miserable when they're not together. And I have to agree there. Both are hard headed but love each other very much. He told Frank and I that if she said no, he'll be sitting on our front porch crying in a bottle of booze.. LOL Frank said as long as it's not his booze it's ok..LOL

We were anxiously waiting Saturday for the phone call... she actually called me a couple of times before he asked her and then we got the good news... [SIZE="7"]she said YES!! [/SIZE] We could here Hermie in the background laughing and carrying on..

In the midst of waiting to hear the news, we had a phone call from Frank's daughter asking us to come to her job. She told us that she's moving to Austin, Tx. She feels that she's in a dead end job here and just wants more out of life. She knows that she can always come back if it doesn't work out. She also went on to tell us that she's selling her house and going to Europe for a month in the summer.

We're both very proud of her and that she's got the guts to do it.. we'll be worried about her but she'll be fine. She's going to move there with her closest friend so she won't be alone.

We're going to get her a laptop and webcam for her birthday before she goes so we'll be able to see her and know that she's ok.

We're so happy for both the girls.

I smoked a Fuente Untold Story (thank you Freddy!!) and Frank smoked an aged ERDM Robusto to celebrate.. just wanted to share our great weekend.

That's FANTASTIC news! Many many congrats to you and Frank and only the best of luck to your daughter and her new hubby-to-be! Congrats also on Frank's daughter going after what she wants as well! Sounds like great news all around!
