Anybody else stuck working on Saturdays?

I work at a 24 hour call center in Atlanta and I have a 4 day (10 hr./day) shift that has me working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Man working on Saturdays is lame. I can't smoke here so I just sit and read every new post on Club Stogie all day long...any sympathy?

Yeah it sucks I gotta work saturdays, actually I have to be at work in half an hour and wont get home till 8pm

i got lucky this weekend don't have to work first one in like 9 months i don't have to work.

yeah my shift is 6-4:30, so I'm up around 5 AM...

I am in the car business, so I work every Saturday 9-6p and the last Sunday of the month 12-5. It does suck, but I keep a humidor at work.

I'll throw you some sympathy too, Bro. Working 10-hours on a Saturday sucks then you have a jacked up Mon-Tue/Fri-Sat schedule on top of that!

Been doing ten hour days Monday through Saturday for the last few months....my herf buddys can attest. I now schedule herfs....lol. Today I am working 9-2 and herfing from 2 on. Back in tomorrow to make up the lost time.

Although I'm not working Saturday, I feel for ya dude. Been there, done that. We only work Saturdays when it's needed and then it's OT and at $33 an hour it's worth it. Our product isn't in great demand right now so no OT. Looks like there may be a benefit to a slowing economy.

I officially work Mon-Fri, but we have to take turns to cover on saturdays, and since this weekend is end of month production output is very high, and I had to be here.

It sucks, because we are administrative employees (engineers) and we don't have overtime, so its free time....

I was in college, and complained to my dad one day that my current job required me to work on Saturdays. In a non caring deep voice almost like something Clint Eastwood would say, "son, if you worked harder Monday through Friday, you wouldn't have to work on the weekend."

Yes, every so often it's my turn to do Saturday too. Like others I'm sure, I just hate the fact that it makes for a 1 day weekend.

Luckily I work Monday thru Friday, but the hours can vary depending on how busy things get. I feel for those that have to work on weekends. Just be glad you're able to log on the CS.
