In case this, heaven forbid, happens to one of us here or someone we know, how was this resolved? You were one month back in payment. Did they work out a deal?

Glad this worked out for you.
I can tell one thing, Cobra is nothing like car or homeowner insurance.
The latter two usually have a grace period.
Cobra does not.
If that payment is not postmarked prior to the end of the due date, they are tough to deal with.
My daughter had a tough similar time and after numerous call from me, they extended the coverage.
Again, glad it worked out and prayers for the family.
