I think a card is a nice gift. Sure it's just a card, but just to let the client know you're thinking of them and appreciate the business they've given you is better than nothing. I'll be sending out a lot of cards this year.

You want to get them something that says you thought of them specifically, and something you know they will use.

How you feelin' this mornin' there Bob? I like the nanonano idea...always was a big fan of Mork & Mindy....with the GPS I could preload my home address so that they always know how to get to me if they need me.

Definitely a good idea....I send little notes throughout the year too. Birthday cakes too.

If your clients are companies, you can always do the giftbasket thing. Nothing better for a CEO of your client firm than putting a gift basket filled with all kinds of food in their breakroom. The staff wins, the CEO looks like a hero, and you win for making the CEO look like a hero (unless he/she is a selfish bastard and keeps it all to themself... )

Companies like Harry & David have a good selection, or you could probably find a local boutique vendor that could put together a special selection of items. For $100, you ought to be able to get something pretty substantial.

You know, I just got the H&D catalog so I'm gonna take a look. The nice thing about a basket for all is that I can multiply the $100 limit by however many people at the co. I might even be able to stuff a SmartCar with goodies because some are pretty large companies! Could end up like this though after folks fight over that damn car!

It always doesn't go to the lunch/break room though. Any really good ones end up at the CEO's home unless they have a lot given to them.
