I prefer Firefox also and use it for pretty much everything. I do keep IE installed just in case something comes up that Firefox can't handle, but with the latest version of Firefox I've not needed to use IE at all (at least so far).

I'm starting to wonder... Is IE ever really fixed?

The patch release today does seem to address this flaw without mentioning passwords in the release though.

Firefox is the way to go. You'd figure after all these years, Microsoft would get their act together.

Re: Major flaw revealed in Internet Explorer; users urged to switch

When you have pretty much every hacker in the world trying to crack your stuff it makes it hard to keep up I'm sure. That's the only reason Firefox is more secure, they don't have the marketshare to make it worthwhile for hackers to go after them. Same thing with Macs.

Re: Major flaw revealed in Internet Explorer; users urged to switch

I agree that Firefox has been the only browser for years. I also have Opera on my Nokia N800.

Firefox is open source and free. If you love that, you'll love this. Why pay for Microsoft Office, which probably has many of the same flaws as Explorer? OpenOffice is the way to go.

After discovering OpenOffice a couple of years ago I will never again use MSOffice.
