I just lost a good buddy...

My 12 year old dog (a gorgeous mix-lab) just passed away this X-mas eve. We enjoyed his loyal companionship for all this years. He was there at my side through many good and bad smokes. He lived a good life and he is now resting in pup's heaven. I am sorry but i just had to vent my grief.

[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Jorge, very sorry to hear of your friend's passing. I have a 4 year old yellow lab mix named Boo and she's me best buddy, I know there's no truer friend and companion that a good dog. So sorry.

So very sorry for your loss, Jorge. My wife and I too, have a lab mix dog and he is all the world to us and just as you said,,,,they are here for a reason and we take this time to thank you for letting us share in your joy and grief for a pet that is very important to you.

Our dog, Norman, is just as much a part of our life as the 2 kids we have and we are very aware that our pets are here for a short time.

You obviously were a good owner and your pet had a great life and home,,,in the end, that is what we all want in this life is to have those around us that make it all worthwhile.
